Default Does Russell Wilson have a future in football?

He's not doing too good baseball. I think he's a better football player. You think he'll get drafted in the NFL? BTW the Rose bowl is a shootout.

Tebow got a shot.

Wilson is a shoe - in (NFL Draft) easily.

Looked good but probably too small at 5'11" to go too high.

Only seen a couple of Wisconsin games this year but he looked good in both games. At 5'11 he's a bit small for the NFL though. He'll find his way on a team but doubt he'll be a starting qb. My thoughts on a small sample.

He'll play and do well, but probably won't go too high.
My brother in law coached him thru high school....great kid and very smart.
Even if he doesn't go pro, he'll do well in life (unlike most of the other goons out there).

I see him as a Hines Ward type of player and not a QB but NFL is desperate for QB's so never know

So is Colt McCoy. Drew is an exception to the rule. Point is, the NFL prototype QB is closer to 6'3" than 6'. I like what I saw from Wilson and think he will go higher than he would normally because there are very few good QBs coming out and as another post said, a lot of NFL teams need a QB.

It never hurts to have a dual threat QB sitting on the sidelines, if your #1 QB goes down. Also he would make for a good pratice squad QB when you are playing TB, Newton, Vick any QB that might want to run.

By TB you surely do not mean Tom Brady!

I am a Russell Wilson fan and really enjoyed what he did when he was at NC State. I think he can play in the NFL. What role he will play for the team that picks him up, I am not sure. I think he is an early third round pick this year. Maybe late second.

Agree when he played for St....fun to watch! Also remember this kid was in the Heisman mix before Wiscy lost a couple of "bad beat" games. I think he's the 4th or 5th best QB prospect out there. Unfortunately (I believe) he is the smallest prospect as well. I would be shocked if he was a third rounder. Having said all that not sure what NFL role he would be a part of

Thought I'd bring this one back up to the top. My daughter and I spent some time with him today. Great head on his shoulders and incredibly well rounded young man. Thanks for coming to visit Russell!
