Default Fishing Music of Choice?....

It seems that most of us have at least a radio, if not a CD player on our boats and I was wondering what your fishing music of choice was...
I usually have some Buffett (A1-A or Son of a Sailor), Jack Johnson, Pat Green..love his stuff....Robert Earl Keen....and some good mix CD's.

Looking forward to sunny skies, and warmer temps.

I like a good mix of stuff. Classic rock, country, or some nice "island" music.

I don't have music in my boat yet but a friend of mine does. A couple of times when nothing was biting we cranked the Stones "I Can't Get No Satisfaction" and hooked up soon after.

Used to listen to Buffet...but now that he is a big push behind the Save the Manatee group....I won't spend anymore money on his music ...he sings a good song but donates money to stop boaters and fishermen from being able to use the waters in southern Florida...just in my area he has affected the economy related to fishing and boating...the Mercury testing center closed it's doors due to they can't test motors anymore due to manatee restrictions..... so all of you that buy his things ..you are donating good money against fishing and boating in FLorida.....just my .02......

Work is for People who are too lazy to fish!!!!

Nothing but Buffett on SeaNile. Didn't install the 6 speaker, 1 subwoofer, 2 amps and mp3 player for nothing. Jimmy seems to fit the mood perfectly everytime. The one cd I bring has over 130 Buffett songs. It'll only get better with the redo because I am thinking of installing an onboard computer with iTunes so I can have my entire music library with me. Might as well wire up the Sirius too.

This is sort of political so no one get their panties in a wad. No offense meant to anyone. It's just my way of thinking. Buffet was a big Kerry supporter also. He has that right. But I have the right not to listen or purchase his music. It was a huge disappointment for me because I have always liked his music. To not be hypocritical, I turn the channel when the Dixie Chicks come on, also him and a few others. If they would just not try to tell me how to vote. Anyway, REO Speedwagon blasting "Roll With The Changes" . Listening to that and I can get my boat on plane with an oar.

Definitely no Buffet....
70-80's rock, some newer stuff like 9-inch Nails, jazz, blues, island music from time to time. No C&W, disco, rap....not slamming it, I just don't like it.

Monday night football theme.
YES! That and that traditional NFL music with the trumpets and all that is on the Campbell's chunky soup commercials.

I know J. Buffett and others are all on the left, I disagree with their politics but its still good music. Until they start in with the politics in the lyrics, I'll probably continue to listen.

I think the I-pod hook-up may be the way to go, just load up what you want and head out, has anyone done this successfully on a boat?

Buffet, I too disagree with his politics, but his older music is great for drift fishing, now for travelin' music, BOB SEGER and the silver Bullet band!!!, don't mind downing a few silver bullets either

Although I'm not that old. My favorite is Bing Crosby and Louis Armstrong in a duet called "Gone Fishin"

Laughing Colors, Buffett, Marley, you name it.

Funny story!

My buddy and I were fishing a tournament 2 years ago and we tied up to the Kent Narrows Bridge. It had been raining and blowing AT LEAST 20 knots most of the morning. He put in Metallica - And Justice For All and had it up semi-loud (there was no one else around due to the weather). I said "Mick! Turn that down, man, you're gonna scare the - Sorry, I will learn to watch my language -ing fish away!" Just then my rod went DOWN HARD and I landed a 26" rock. Not 2 minutes later, Mick's rod went down and he had a 29" rock, Metallica still cranked up. Needless to say we won the tourney and to this day when we fish that tourney each year we always make it a point to stop at Kent Narrows on our way in for at least an hour. So far, we're 2 for 2.

Buffet only... its a proven myth that if you crank the bass and treble up the vibrations raise fish

I also keep "The Perfect Storm" in the VCR for those rough overnighters
