Default Colts and a Draft pick

Who thinks the Colts surrendered the season after Manning got injured for a 1st round draft pick?
And don't forget, because the Colts came last in the season they will have the easiest schedule next year.

If that was true those two wins could have cost them the 1st pick so that does not make much sense. Their D has never been that great and withou Manning they coul not out score teams when needed. It also does not make sense because they just gave Manning a new contract.

I haven't looked at the latest numbers, but I think as of today they have the basement all wrapped up....they Will get first draft pick.

The Colts don't need that young QB, but the trade possibilities are endless and could be VERY fruitful!

The Colts should have to go 10 years without a real QB, getting Luck just doesn't seem right.

I think they number one pick will be worth several draft choices, SEVERAL

However not sure how good Luck will be, plenty of players are supposed to be the next great thing and never make it so I look for them to trade the pick to help there pitiful D

The Colts and the Rams get to play an easy schedule? Hell they are the worst teams everyone is better than they are.

Its a nice theory to think teams throw away seasons.Unfortunately it doesnt happen. Colts suck, their D has always been pitiful. It jus showed up this year because they had zero offense to keep up with their pitiful D....Colts are one dimensional as u get...A pass game

Yeah but throw Manning back in there with a super easy schedule and the Colts will/ should be back at the top spot...division champs at least. ....there is no way I can see the bookies putting the Colts as an outside looong shot next year because this year they are in the basement.

If the Colts get the #1 pick they should draft Luck. I assume Peyton returns but that is still up in the air. Let Luck be a backup to Manning for a few years and learn from one of the best.

The 49ers gave Steve Young a few years to learn from Joe Montana. Both are in the Hall of Fame.

The Texans drafted David Carr and made him a starter. It was painful to watch Carr get pounded every game. He is now a backup to Eli Manning. Texans never gave him a good shot at learning how to be a top QB.

Manning is 35. I don't think he has that many years to play. Draft Luck and get set for the next 15 years.
