Default Scariest movie from your childhood?

What was the scariest or most memorable movie you saw as a young child? Remember, it gave you nightmares? And your parents either had no idea you saw it or were aghast when they found out about it?

For me: First Men on Venus (sci-fi) and Reptilicus (horror/monster).

Recently got copies of both of these. First Men on Venus is still watchable, Reptilicus is so bad by today's standards!

Went to see Vincent Price in The Raven in 1963 (at 9 years old) and was in big trouble when the parents found out it had been condemned by the Catholic Church for endorsing sorcery.

When I was young the original "Day the Earth stood still" scared the shit out of me. As a teenager, 'The Exorcist" when her head turned around.

The BIRDS was probably my first memorable horror flick. Second would have to be the Exorcist.

I do not remember the name but it was a movie where little people lived in the walls and under the stairs in a old creepy house, second was Jaws.

In 1972, I was 7 years old, and my parents took me with them to see The Godfather. Didn't really 'get' the movie, but had nightmares about horseheads in my bed for weeks.
