Default Easy Day to Remember

February two (2) = Ground Hog Day = Anniversary........can't get much simpler then that.

Yup I've now got officially 19 years in.....you know it hasn't been all bad either, actually pretty damn good.....if I say so myself.
Oh sure we'll have an argument once every few years.....but that's generally over drunken stupidity more then anything. I really need to work on that.
I get all the toys I want and even get to go to the strip bar - hell she'll even drop me off and pick me up.
I can call her at any time of the night regardless of what ditch I'm laying in and she will pick me up with a smile. She'll even make me something to eat when we get back home.
I get to go fishing, hunting and camping when ever I want, although I wish she would come along more often - not all the time, just more often - she's my friend too.

Our wedding was in "The Little White Chapel" in Vegas many years ago; it started out simple and has remained simple. I'm glad I married the gal.

Congrats and Happy Anniversary. My wife and I have been married 19 years this year also. I still wonder how she has put up with my azz that long.

Congrats Garrett - Just hit the 19 year mark myself. The
only flaw she has (mine, that is) is lousy taste in men

TB Hawks,

No, no, no........you keep your's the hell away from mine. I've got this one broken in just the way I like it, no need for change at this stage of the game.

Uh-hum I did take her out this evening for a lovely sea food dinner over a few glasses of bubbly. Then we had a few drinks in a quite little jazz bar to round out the evening - man I love to see her smile like that.

fishie1,

Naaaah she's not a saint......she's an angle - a gift from the Gods.

Thanks guys.....best to you and yours as well. It's humbling not to have the problems which lead up to divorce, isn't it.

Congrats Garrett.

29 years for me and the wife. Even tho this past year was one of the down years, things have taken a turn for us on upswing. Growing pains?? Oh yeah, plus 2 years dating before we got married. Basically my whole life.

Your anniversary happens to be celebrated on my birthday. Or is it visa versa.. you got chocolate in my peanut butter. (Old TV commercial)

Hang in there, she's probably still the girl you fell in love with many years ago, but with some modifications.

I guess we all have our formulas that seem to work, well here's ours: Don't kick the other person when they are down.....respect their off moods and give them space - it's just a habit.
Also: Recognize what to worry and stress over (things you can change) and recognize the things that you can not change, fluff those things off - what will be will be, just pick up the pieces after it run it's coarse.
This seems to work for us at any rate - we keeps it simple. Good luck to yah and better roads ahead.

Very happy for you and the rest of you guys that made it this far. Mine only lasted 14 yrs, but I ended up with the kids, the dog, and the house. Got the same girlfriend for 5 yrs now, new boat this year, and life couldn't be better.
