My parents were just Raving about this place last week. I'll have to give it a try.

A good burger is a good burger...you know one when you eat one...

Believe it or not, Dan Marino's in Baywalk in St. Pete had an awesome, simple burger. Great meat, simple fixings, and a great bun...for reasonable...

As long as we're talking about good burgers, The St. Pete Diner, 34th street in between 5th and 22nd avs. Get the mushroom and swiss...

Killer breakfast too. Can stuff yourself on eggs, sausage, bacon, grits/hashbrowns, toast, coffee, and juice, about $7...

I LOVE the part of the sign ... "ALL YOU CAN EAT
ONE BILLION $"

We have a place (similar looking, too) in Richmond called "Roy's Big Burger" - been in the same place since the '50's - one location, walk-up (one window for orders/pick up) with picnic tables in the back. THE best burgers in Richmond! Gotta' eat 'em QUICK or the grease goes through the bag.

Places like these are ALWAYS flippin' a better burger than ANY "chain".

As ole' Dean Martin use to say,"Thanks for the memories"!

Regards,

12th ave N, next to Wendy's, across from McDonalds. Walking distance for me. I find it functional for food, but nothing special. If you're talking good burgers in St. Pete the conversation starts with El Cap and the Chattaway.

Although that is true, their are many ways to enhance the flavor of red meat; sugar...brown-cane-crystal, dark molasses, hand rub w/spices and age the meat, inject with liquid and let sit overnight.. Those are some of the many ways and is what I was kind of looking for!
