Is it still on a dealers lot? If it is a true dealer demo left over then the warranty probably started back in 2010. You may have all the miles left but not much time left on the bumper to bumper warranty. This would be an important fact to know before negotiating price. PM me the last 8 of the vin and I can check the warranty start date on the vehicle if you like.

Isn't the auto a slightly different engine with less HP?

I was talking to a sales guy the other day about them. If I remember correctly it was the rpm that moved up the horsepower, the manual has a higher rpm rev limiter than the auto. That may be bs but sounded reasonable to me.

I would not consider this vehicle to be a dealer demonstrator. It was sold to an individual on April 17,2010. So your bumper to bumper warranty would go until April 17, 2013 and powertrain until April 17, 2015. They have it priced close to NADA retail so they are not way out in left field at a starting price. It also appears to be certified which would give it another 12 months or 12,000 miles off warranty past the bumper to bumper coverage. I wouldn't expect a huge discount off that vehicle with the price he has but I could be wrong.

For whatever its worth it sounds like a good car, no warranty repairs have been done so far. Carfax is clean if you like the vehicle then you have to decide what a fair price would be. Anything close to $30k with those kinds of miles would seem like a good deal for you and for the dealer. Good luck

I was a preorder guy and one of the first to get My SS/RS. Mine is called a R6P, it's a preproduction car and actually has things missing that the full production Camaro has. I guess that's the price I paid for being one of the first to get mine.

I paid full list for mine, no negotation. My daughter and myself went to the dealer on a Saturday morning and picked what we wanted in the car. The dealer only had photo copies of the actual brochure because they hadn't got the actual brochures in yet.

This summer was my 3rd summer with the car and the only thing I've had wrong was a bad tire pressure sensor. The car has all the power you would ever want, I have personally had it up to 152MPH in 4th gear (I have a manual 6 speed). We have taken it on 2 long trips and it's very comfortable on long trips. Way better than the mustang I rented a few years ago.

I don't think there is much negotation room on the Camaro's yet so I don't think the dealer will deal much with you.

Let me know if I can answer anything else for you.

Russ

Bought my wife a 2011 RS last fall. She absolutely loves it. She's got about 17,000 miles on it now. Nothing but maintenance so far. The car has lots of blind spots and going from my crew cab diesel P/U to that thing is like straping a roller skate on to my ass. I almost never drive it. Too used to driving P/Us after almost 30 years of it and just not comfortable driving it. It's also a bit hard for me to get in and out of.

It's worth whatever NADA or Kelly Blue Book says it is and not a penny more. It's a used car. As soon as you buy it it's worth the used value. An automatic? Really? Your actually considering an automatic?

Thanks. If you buy it you will find yourself constantly doing mods to the car. I have done about $2000 of mods since I got the car. My next major mod is to put in a racing cam from Livernois. That will boost my HP from 450HP to over 550HP. With the mods I have now I should be around 450HP.

Anything you ever want to know about new or old Camaro's can be found on the Camaro5 forum: http://www.camaro5.com/

It's a fantastic website and will answer every question you could have.

I was at turn 5 last years Rolex for a bit. Watching the Camaros enter and exit turn 4 was awesome. Big heavy but badass cars compared to the rest of the field. They would come into the turn late, brake late, slide wide and power up for a short straight and then come into the turn by us. Brute power. American hotrods.
