How many MVP votes does Payton Manning deserve now that the Colts will probably lose every game without him in the lineup?

The answer is zero since he hasn't played but that team is terrible without him.

Too funny!! I actually thought of Payton for exactly the reason you stated when I saw the thread title before opening it!!

I would never have believed that ONE player could have so much affect on a team. I heard one of the commentators yesterday mention that Peyton has taken the Colts to the playoffs 8 out of 10 years. He is out for the season and the team can't even win a single game. They can't even keep the games interesting.

Couldn't agree more. What a change in that team! I cannot help but think about the #1 pick scenario. Would you take Luck and develop him behind Payton? Or trade out with a team that has two #1's? I say pick him.

they didn't need much defense, just needed the ball last so they could post the last TD!

Peyton made the comment that if Colts draft Luck he will NOT stay in Indy....He is a great player but I dont care for that kind of attitude, obviously its all about Peyton and not about the team...

I think that chap Tebow that everyone is talking about is a lock for league MVP this year.

Are you sure? I think Archie made the comment they couldnt coexist. And I would have never had guessed it but Peyton is the team. I had no idea one player could make a team. They are equal to the Rams without him and a decent playoff team with him...Not great but still playoff caliber

A guy that surely deserves it in the Patriot organization is Gronkowski....he is a friggin Abrams tank on the field. Did anyone see that play where the Redskins were hanging all over him and he'd just peel them off and keep heading down the sideline?

He broke the all time record for touchdowns by a tight end in that game. An NFL star...

X2...I think it was his father Archie that made a comment about the subject.

My vote for 2011 is Aaron Rodgers.

The Colts defense is set up to play with a lead. They are a fast pass rushing D that does well when the other dudes are behind and are forced to pass. And with Peyton, the Colts almost always got an early lead. Now, not so much.

He'll stick around until March. That's when he qualifies for a 28M roster bonus.

Archie made a comment that indicates Luck does not want to go to Indy. It seems the Manning and Luck families are close. Luck's father was an NFL player. The Luck family might pull an 'Eli' and refuse to be drafted by Indy.
