Start calling insurance companies or agents. What may be a good deal in one area of the country may not end up being so where you boat. In any case make sure you get 'agreed value' coverage.

I also learned that most policys use "depreciation" also.

That is why 'agreed value' is a good thing.

If anything happens that doesn't cause enough damage to "total" the boat you wont get that. That's when depreciation of parts comes in. Learned this the hard way.

I had Progressive on my last boat and called and e-mailed no less than 10 insurance companies when I bought my current boat, Progressive had the best rate for the coverage. They are also very good with claims (had my outdrive stolen on my last boat).
