The fact that that Ped State chose not to immediately suspend their entire football program is a clear indictment that as a society we are clearly insane.

WRONG, WRONG, WRONG....!!!!

The college kids on that team are all fine gentlemen, and they have done absolutely nothing wrong....They have worked hard and honorably to get where they are today, and they do not deserve to be punished for someone else's failings.....

Those fine gentlemen would learn an exrtemely valuable lesson - that in life, even when you invest your soul in your heroes, those heroes can betray that investment.

Those fine gentlemen should have, to a man, protested Joe Ped's sanctioning of child rape by refusing to play football.

Jod Ped blathered about honor, but failed to instill honor into those fine gentlemen.

If you don't think that Joe Ped has a maniacally powerful hold on Ped State and that community, yer insane.

Do away with the football program.
With time and history, perhaps recover the schools rep for what is was established for in the first place,, education.

These clowns thought because of football they were deities and above reproach.
Tragic to that,, they almost pulled it off.

Every football player I've known that achieved any sort of "stardom" (a stretch).. well,, besides being an unpleasant person to be around, never got over themselves and STILL picture themselves as the second coming.

As long as their is a football program at Ped State, a nasty dark cloud will be hovering over what is really a terrific school and a beautiful campus.

The incident(s?) will always be like the crazy aunt living in the basement; everyone knows she's there,, but no one talks about it.

There have been tens of thousands (millions) of people that gave up everything that they should be doing, rather be doing, want to be doing, to stand up for things they believed to be right. Something that was bigger them them.

Weather it be leaving England to seek a better life, protesting wars, sitting in a tree to prevent it from being cut down, or Occupy Wall Street.

They were not standing up for something that would benefit themselves or a small group, but for, what they thought would be the greater good and to try and prevent it from happening again.

Yes, the PSU football players have dedicated their lives to play the game, with the dream of going Pro some day, but there are things more important then yourself and football, believe it or not.

I would have respected the school, coaches, and or players, if any of them would have had the B@LLS to not think about themselves or the school but the children and their families.

What they said by playing yesterday is that, football is more important then the children and what is "The right thing to do".

JMHO

I did watch the game.
it was mentioned how clever they patterned their band uniforms after Ralph Cramden's buss driver uniform.
