Default It's THT's fault that I'm not changing the world

It goes like this: I see a post that I decide to respond to. I type a bit, think about my response, take a sip of coffee, answer the phone, etc. When I am ready to submit my response and shatter everyone's preconceived notions about the subject to which I am responding, I find that I am not logged in because I took too long to type my response. I don't re-type it after I log back in because I'm a little bit pissed and my brain is tired (changing the world can be exhausting). So it's a lose-lose situation. I lose time and energy, and the THT community loses the opportunity to hear my words of wisdom and have their quality of life improved.

Is there a way to prevent being logged out when typing a response that takes a few minutes?

Maybe you're typing (or thinking) too slow.

That never happens on my machine. I get logged in automatically whenever I go to the site and stay logged in as long as I'm there. Not sure, but I think when you log in there is a box you can check that says "keep me logged in"...........

or something. I'm sure somebody here knows.

Has happened to me several times. What I do now before I hit submit is use my mouse and COPY what I wrote. So worse case I get back to the forum and paste it and submit.

My computer always logs me right on automatically but soon as I go to a few threads it seams to log me out.

The next time you log in, enter your user name, and next to it check the little box that says Stay Logged In or something like that, enter your password ... and change the world.

Type the response into a word document and cut in paste into a response. Allows quick spell check and editing. Can also save a response to add later if you are running out of time.

When you're finished typing, click the "preview post" box. If you are logged off, and then you sign back in, your typed post will still be there.............................and you can also re-read what you typed. Then hit submit.

I'll try the "Stay Logged In" button. I've done the "Copy" trick before, but I sometimes forget.

I also never get logged out. Yes you have to click on the keep me logged in button when logging in and you will never be logged out. Simple as that.

Now come on and change the world. God knows we need it.

Hey you're not supposed to think about your responses ....... are you? I never knew that....I thought we were just supposed to type the first thing that comes to our minds. Hell if I were to think about my responses then no body would hate me.
