There is really no substantial info yet other than a post a week or so ago by the manufacturer that the engine(s) are still in the development and testing stage.

I don't believe that you can take a car engine straight out of the box and slap it into a marine application.

Marine engines have a very different duty cycle than car engines.

Normally, the cam and other components will be modified to run under constant 100% load, which is not how a car engine has to perform.

Could be what is holding them up.

Why not - its all in the gearing maybe a few other modifications - But the weak link to me would seem getting all that power through the pinion gear - would like to see what twin pinion means - somewhere they have to connect to one engine shaft and one prop - right?

I also missed this earlier - so what?

Well I could say something like..... "this coming from the guy with 90 posts" but then I'd just be some guy judging someone based on their internet forum prowess.... and I'm just not into that.

Heads and cams on a marine engine are set up for a completely different torque curve.
