Shouldn't let him finish the season.
PSU looks even worse for taking this position.

This certainly should not be his decision.

How about Mike McQueary? He witnesses this rape against a 10 year old boy, his first call is to his father? Really? Him and his father are Vile Human Beings, and cannot suffer a bad enough death.

His father tells him to "get out of the building"...Really? 28 year old man..

No, Joe P, Mqueary, and the entire staff should be banned from the entire property at minimum.

I'd like to know what ever happened to the DA who was investigating the case. His body was never found and was legally declared dead over the summer

This makes Jim Tressel look like an angel. I am sure the Board of Trustees will demand Joe's immediate resignation.

A real FU on his part. After becoming the most winning NCAA Division 1 foorball coach in history this is how he will be remembered.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ray_Gricar

In 1998, Gricar declined to press charges against longtime Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky following allegations of sexual abuse;[7] years later, Sandusky was arrested and charged by the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office for his role in the Penn State sex abuse scandal. In 2004, Gricar announced he would not run for re-election and would retire from both the DA job and as a practicing attorney in December 2005, shortly after his 60th birthday.[4][5]

At 11:30 a.m. (EDT) on April 15, 2005, Gricar called Patty Fornicola, his live-in girlfriend, to inform her that he was driving through the Brush Valley area northeast of Centre Hall.[9] Fornicola reported Gricar missing 12 hours later when he failed to return home.[9]

Gricar's car, a red MINI Cooper, was discovered the following day in an antique store parking lot in Lewisburg.[10] His county-issued cell phone was inside, but his laptop computer, keys, and wallet were missing, and there were no signs of foul play.[8] Police and family members noted that the location where the vehicle was found – adjacent to two bridges over the Susquehanna River – bore some similarities to the location where the vehicle of Roy Gricar, Ray Gricar's older brother, was located before his body was found in the Great Miami River in Ohio in 1996.[10]

Authorities searched the river and its banks in the days following the vehicle's discovery, but found no sign of Gricar.[8] Pennsylvania authorities asked the FBI to analyze Gricar's bank accounts, credit card records, and cell phone records, but found no clues as to where he may have been.[8]

On July 30, 2005, fishermen discovered Gricar's county-issued laptop computer in the Susquehanna River beneath a bridge between Lewisburg and Milton.[11] A Pennsylvania State Police computer expert analyzed the computer and found that its hard drive was missing.[11] Divers searched the area of the river near where the laptop was found over the next several days, but found nothing else.[11] Two months later, a hard drive was recovered on the banks of the Susquehanna River about 100 yards (91 m) from where the laptop was found and is believed to be Gricar's;[12] however, it was badly damaged and analysis by the FBI, U.S. Secret Service, and the firm Kroll Ontrack – which had successfully recovered data from a hard drive recovered from the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster – were all unable to recover any data from the hard drive.[13] In April 2009 Bellefonte police revealed that before his disappearance, Gricar used his home computer to perform internet searches on topics such as "how to wreck a hard drive", "how to fry a hard drive", and "water damage to a notebook computer".[14]

Gricar's disappearance has been the subject of at least two television documentaries: an episode of Haunting Evidence first aired on Court TV in June 2006, and an episode of Disappeared first aired on Investigation Discovery in February 2011.[15] Additionally, an episode of CBS' Without a Trace featured Gricar's missing person information.[16]

On June 30, 2011, Lara Gricar, Ray's daughter and trustee of his estate, petitioned Centre County for a court declaration of presumed death.[17] County president David E. Grine approved the petition and declared Gricar legally dead on July 25, 2011.[18]

Here is the problem I see: In 1998, Gricar declined to press charges against longtime Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky following allegations of sexual abuse. In 1999, Sandusky, who was expected to become the next HC of Penn State, was told by Joe that was not going to happen and Sandusky resigned. Just a coincidence? Sandusky was coaching legend, with many HC opportunities, what changed in '99 (aside from the '98 allegations)? Maybe, time will tell.

Jeesh, I thought MEN played and coached football. Apparently not at PSU.

If you witness an adult molesting a child and you do not immediately attack and beat the ever loving shit out of said adult you missed out on a chance to prove your worth to society.

imho.

Those who would hurt children or allow it to go unpunished deserve to see the worst in all of us.

The cover up is where the story is. Sandusky didn't coach again and one would think there were many opportunities for him to do so given his coaching resume.

What's worse is that PSU/Paterno let him to continue to come around, use the facilities, and attend events ....with these kids knowing full well he was a pedafile.

How does this stay buried for over a decade? Were people paid off?

No way Paterno should be allowed to stay another game as head coach, no way. This guy preached accountability for your actions and old school values, they were just empty words. He's an embarrassment to himself, the school, the NCAA and the human race.

WAIT...he is coaching rest of year??? AAnother example of how PSU is totally messing this whole thing up! can't believe this mismanagement from such a huge brand. PSU will live on, but the culture is about to change drastically.
