Default Property Sale

Isn't there a way to look up how much a piece of land sold for? I am trying to find out about a piece of land in Southampton County VA if anyone has any info. I know how to find the tax assessment on land, but I am looking for the actual sale price. Thanks in advance if anyone knows where to find this info.

Local town hall, deed recording office.
If you know the name of the last owner (s/b last assessed name) them s/b and alphabetical look to the deed with the sale price.

I see you obtained tax info.. Usually you could see the purchased price among those records?
Not sure in your location?
Property Appraisers Office is the starting point. Or ask Realtor if known?

Call a real estate agent or an appraiser.

Most public records are online now. go to your local municipaltly and look for the tax card by address. All the sales history should be on the back of the card
