How does it start?
Does he ease you into it (not knowing your physical condition) or do you go full bore right away?

I'll be right back. Going to get some Halloween candy to give you some time to answer.

Theres no "easing" into this workout lol. It only gets harder as you go. You will see results though for sure. The hardest part is the diet though.

You are supposed to take the fit test first. I couldn't even make it through the whole fit test without stopping!

You go full bore, but on any given exercise, you stop when you are tired. He may do 90 seconds of an exercise and then 30 seconds of rest, but it's ok if you can only do it for 30 seconds and then rest for 90. That way you only do what you can.

oh yeah he eases you in to it...you get about 30 seconds of him talking at the beginning of the video before all hell breaks loose.

as far as the diet goes...screw that. I'm burning plenty of calories in the workout to justify my eating habits. I don't eat horribly, but I eat what i want. I can still crank out a 6:45 min/mile pace for 10 miles. These workouts are intense, but you get what you ask for.

What amazes me is 1. How hot the freakin' women are in this video (much better than P90X) and 2. How freakin' ripped those women are...they dance circles around us guys

Agreed. I did the first month over summer and definitely saw results with just the workouts. I'm sure the diet might help, but none if it looked over appealing and I don't eat that bad anyways. I got food poisoning and then got busy and just never got back into it to finish with the second month, but I'm planning to start again in January and do it all the way.

It gets easier. I decided to do month one twice before doing month two. I did month 2 once. Now I am doing a mix of P90x and Insanity. This is my 4th time through P90x, but I don't do it every day and I pick and choose the workouts. I don't do the Yoga because it takes too long and I don't care for the Kempo one either so I will do an Insanity workout on those days.

The diet is too hard to do on either. I am not eathing that many egg whites and certainly not the amount of cottage cheese they tell you to eat.

Running 6:45/miles for 10 you do not need to worry about what you eat. I would love to be running that for a ten miler.

Starting P90x on Monday - looking forward to getting my fat a$$ into some type of respectable shape. A buddy of mine is a Beachbody coach and he's gotten me into the P90x. He's gone through two rounds of P90x and just started the Insanity a month or so ago. Said it kicked his a$$ up and down the block at first but he's getting into it - not necessarily easier but he's adapting. I'll hope to be there at some point.

I've been working on the meal planning, etc. in prep for P90 but find that I don't have the time or bank account to follow it to the letter (it's telling me I have to take in about 3,000 calories a day - WTF?). My buddy turned me onto MyFitnessPal.com which allows you to enter the Carb/Protein/Fat ratios from P90 and tracks your intake based on your normal routine. I've been doing that for about 2-3 weeks now and found it interesting - I've learned that I don't necessarily eat a lot (which has its disadvantages) but I wasn't eating the right food at all. Noticing a difference just with the diet alone so I'm hoping to see bigger results once I start the program. Still struggling to get to the calorie limit each day, though - target is around 1,600 according to MFP but I can't seem to find the right blend of meals that get me above 1,300 calories before I hit my carb and fat limit (at least on this first "fat shredder" part).

Good luck with the Insanity - will be curious to see what your thoughts are as you progress through.
