Default Lsu vs bama national cham???

First I hate both teams, but looking at this from an outside view...... I think these are by far the best teams in the nation, hurts to say but not a single other program has a chance against these two. Not stanford. Not ok. State. Not Boise.

These is not anyone in their right mind that thinks any one of those schools could put up a fight against these two.

Do you think there is a real possibility that they play again in the national champ???

Arkansas will have to beat LSU in order for the SEC West to reach a showdown rematch, IMO. If Bama wins that, then it's possible that the BCS rankings would make them a 1-2 championship.

What am I missing here, or is that the scenario?

Also the BCS would have to screw Boise over. Providng Ok St and Stanford lose. Agree, the best teams played Saturday night,I personally would kill for a rematch. I mean,at this point we know who has the best kicker, thats about it.....Aint startin nuttin, jus sayin....

Only if the Tigers lose a game could there be any logic for Bama to be back in the circus. The Tigers beat Bama in their house prime time straight up they should be out of the picture if LSU wins out. the Bama rednecks need to accept their team did not get the job done. they can wait till next year

You have no appreciation of the game of football. Last Saturdays night game between those 2 teams was perhaps the best ever defensive football game between 2 college NCAA Div 1 teams ever.

Until they get away from the BCS and go to true playoffs there is no credibilty anyway so who really cares?

If Oregon beats Stanford and Ok beats Ok st there will be a rematch, considering Bama and LSU win out. They will be numbers 1 & 2 in the BCS poll.

In today's college football world, it's all about National Championship. Look at the realignments of conferences that have teams in the same conference with no geographical semblance whatsoever. Missouri in the SEC. Louisville in the Big East. It's about who can take you to the dance...

Playoff system, my friends, playoff system...

Yes I am a die hard LSU fan but if the coin was flipped, I would hope Bama would win out to continue our dominance.

That is not the way it works though. If Bama wins out and Oklahoma State loses then they are right back up to #2 unless Stanford can win out with some quality wins.

What Sudden Strike said sounds like the operative words here..."win out with some quality wins". Georgia beating New Mexico State by 40 points doesn't impress me nearly as much as LSU beating Bama by 3 in OT. See, just cause you win all your games don't mean you're a champion. Ya gotta look at who ya play. Member when Georgia met Hawaii in the Sugar Bown a couple years ago and Hawaii was conference champ of whatever conference they belong to? Remember the drubbing Hawaii took from Georgia and Hawaii had lots of wins, but they were not quality wins. Way to go SS!

They can be beat, would like to see one of the teams with a wide open offense go up against them--Oklahoma State comes to mind first.

Still both are the two best teams in the country from what I saw but still lot of football to play and LSU will still have the SEC Championship game

I do not think Boise could stay on the field with either one but you never know

I do not think you will see a rematch for NC between these two teams though

It shouldn't matter what you or any of us "think". It should be settled on the field. Really tired of all the talk about who's better. Bama lost the game because they play didn't their best. But, if you can't play your best when you need to, then your not better then anyone else. No one thought Boise St could beat an "unbeatable" Florida team either.

One of them lost so they are no longer the top two teams according to the BCS. All this game showed were two great defenses playing sub par offenses. Put a high powered offense on the field against LSU that has a decent defense and you've got a game.
