Default msn homepage

Anyone else having issues with the msn homepage? Every time I get on it says at the top in small lettering that they are having technical difficulties and the news is old. But my wifes computer msn page is fine, just curious if anyone else has seen this.

No one that is serious about news considers MSNBC seriously. All of the alphabet soup news reporting agencies are the same ... take you pick; ABC, CBS, NBC, BBC, PBS ... not a dimes difference, except BBC which is just bias against America.

By the way, I was asking about MSN, not MSNBC. Even though they may be affiliated in some way, they are not the same.

They are the same. Microsoft is NOT a news service, gets everything from NBC. They are partners in that way.

If you want a news whore it is hard to beat Google news. They get news from everywhere. I think Yahoo might be the similar.

I was just curious if anyone had some issues as well. I have had msn as a homepage for awhile and enjoy their quick updates of weird news from all over the world and latest local news and weather. I guess you can call them the same to a certain extent but this is what I found and thought it was pretty interesting.

msnbc.com is a news website owned and operated as a joint venture by NBCUniversal and Microsoft.
In addition to original content from its news staff, msnbc.com is the news website for the NBC News family, with content from the cable television news channel MSNBC, NBC shows such as Today, NBC Nightly News and Dateline NBC, and partners such as The New York Times and The Washington Post.
Although the website msnbc.com and the cable channel MSNBC were launched together in 1996, they have always maintained separate corporate structures and news operations. NBC and Microsoft remain 50-50 partners in msnbc.com, but Microsoft has divested its stake in the television network. Msnbc.com is also editorially and financially separate from MSN, the portal site and online service operated by Microsoft, although msnbc.com acts as MSN's primary news provider.

You may not like the news they publish, but at least they don't hide every story that doesn't fit their ideology.

Sometime, just for grins, go to Foxnews, MSNBC and CNN and check out which stories are on the front page of their web sites. It's interesting to compare what they give the most visibility.

And robalo78, sorry, I say MSN and thought MSNBC. My home page is ebay.

You guys most likely aren't hitting the same site. The same thing happened to me on boston.com a while ago, where I think a style sheet or something was being loaded from a different server based on where I was accessing the site from.

If both computers are in the same location, then it may be dns related - clear cache, close all browser windows, open a command prompt, type ipconfig /flsuhdns .
