Default Intro

Hi, Name is Chris and I'm a central Florida boy. I'm new to this forum, just wanted to introduce myself. I'm currently in the process of a rebuilding of a 200 Yamaha (for fun). I'm trying to do a complete tear down and rebuild of the motor. Also, my boat is an old 21' Chaparral.

Hi! What was wrong with your engine to require a rebuild? Hope it's going well for you.

The motor is older as you can see. It needs to be freshened up. I have a number of stainless parts to put into the engine to replace and ditch the steel parts (steering arm, tilt tube, shift shaft and trailer locks). I thought that I would maybe start an engine build thread. Right now I am wrestling with the power-head to get it off of the midsection. Twisted off 2 of the long power-head bolt heads. They are frozen solid with corrosion. If anyone has an exhaust guide plate for this motor in usable shape that I can use as a replacement, please let me know. That way I can hack this one up to get the motor off.
