Ours with her big friendly face, wagging tail and licking tongue was the treat for many kids and familys who stopped by.
It's such a shame what these dogs can become in the wrong hands....but really worthwhile to those familys like ours that love them and they show that loyalty and friendliness that they are known for.
This is sweetie. 10 months old and sooooo full of love!
Note the tail...it never stops waggin...

Ours was dressed as Batman. Most kids that came up she just kind of looked at them with a puzzled look, but one group of little girls called her over. She ran over wagging her tail, licked them all in the face (just getting a pretaste before eating of course). After they stopped petting her she ran over to the bench and grabbed her sock monkey toy and went running back, but the girls had already gone. She looked so disappointed that they had left her. Cutest thing I have ever seen.

BIG Surprise here folks. A followup report is now reporting the dog that bit the woman, and was shot and killed by the trooper WAS NOT A PITBULL. It was in fact an American Bulldog. Completely differant breed unrelated to the "pitbull".

Put them both down -- the dog and the owner. The dog for being a danger, the owner for being stupid by owning the danger.

Ahh, but it DOES matter because this is and will be in everyones mind as another pit attack, but it isnt.

Bad Dogs=Dead Dogs but hysterical people = dead good dogs in this breed.

Geez, doughnut. You say that like it is a bad thing.

And, FWIW, pitbulls are NOT a breed.

My wife and I drove down to Columbus to visit with our daughter and son in law. They have a goldendoodle and we took her to the local dog park to watch her play. In comes a guy with a pit bull complete with the spiked collar. He lets the dog off the leash and it promptly starts to pick fights with the dogs in the area and took a bite at our daughters dog. I called the dog off and the owner put it back on its leash. He walked towards the exit and the damn pit bull puked chunks on the walkway which the other dogs started to eat and roll in. What a friggin idiot this guy was.

Yes, I should have been more illustrative. and eloquent and used some DNA sequence info rather than generalizing.

was that at Alum Creek? I was there one time and guy came in with a pit but didn't take it off the leash. A younger dog came near it and it attacked it. Luckily it survived. The pit bull owner was crying and carrying on and I told him to get the fark out and never come back.
