Default more info re: Take A Soldier Fishing, Patriot Challenge

During Ft. Lauderdale's 'Fleet Week' there used to be a group that would volunteer to take visiting service people out on their boats. Some local sponsors actually provided organization and even bait or ice. The 'Take A Soldier Fishing' was associated with that.

Because of intrest in that, I got signed up on TASF's mailing list.
Today I received this in a mailing, and wondered if anyone else on this forum got the same, or knows more about what is described?

If this is really true, it is one of the most messed up things I ever heard

This year we were supposed to hold our first ever Battle of the Branches
tournament on Lake Sam Rayburn. Our plans and efforts that we have been
working on for the past two years has been stolen from us and and is now
being called 'Patriots Challenge' on Sam Rayburn. If you have gotten an
email with any of this information please consider not participating in
this event based on the knowledge that EVERYTHING about this tournament has
been stolen right out from under our noses. The staff at TASF National are
all disabled Veterans and we have worked our tails off, not only for our
Country but also to support and help our Nations Veterans that are in need.
It is a sad day when we cannot hold a tournament because a business has
gotten greedy and stole our sponsors, verbiage, our tournament format and
our money that was raised in our name. We have put two long years of
planning into this event only to have it yanked out from under us and there
is nothing we can do about it.

I am confused about your confusion....I thought the message was pretty straightforward?

The link you noted seemsto be TASF's website they put up for the event...the quoted message in the first post describe how another party had somehow misappropriated the event and renamed it the Patriots Challenge.

This is what I am trying to get more info about.
