Default Dual broken arms

Snapped both radius bones at the head where they join the elbow. Thought I just bruised my arms but 3 1/2 weeks after the injury I went to the doctor (wife made me go) and he disagreed.

And I thought you could only go blind doing that.

Hey, wishing you the best. Give your body the time it needs to heal itself.

No casts. No displacement of the bones so it's not needed. It's actually healing very quick. It's been about 6 weeks now and I'm almost back to 100%. I tripped over a tugger wire under tension on the back deck of the workboat. No stumbling or hopping before hitting the steel deck, pretty much a cartoon like fall with a split second to get my arms in front, otherwise my face would have bounced off the steel. Azz wiping was bad but the worst was putting on my socks and boots. It's funny about the 22yr old nurse comment. The doctor suggested therapy...so my wife made me go. I really fought her on that. We get there and the therapists are all young hotties. Needless to say the wife agreed with me about therapy not being needed. Lol.

If there isn't a bone sticking through the skin, it isn't broken.

LMAO....my older brother pulled that duty when I shattered my right arm and broke both bones in my left arm when I was 14 yo. To this day, almost 40 years later, my brother gets red faced and agitated when I bring up that story. I bring up the story every time we get together.

Sorry about the injury Lud. Sounds like you got easy on what could have been a real mess.

I fell 30 ft when my extension ladder decided it didn't like the wall. I broke both wrist and elbows. After surgery to repair my right elbow I was back working in 6 weeks.

And wipe.

I know a guy that broke both arms in a motorcycle accident. He really did have to have his wife wipe his ass for him.
