Default What is it with some people?

Went up to the marina early Friday morning to better secure the boat for the "so called storm". 10 minutes South of town I get a VM saying that they want the larger boats off the dock I'm on but better yet removed from the water. As I have to drive past the marina to get to my house I stop in. I value my boat and it's condition so with the choice of being alone in a double slip or tight to someone else I choose to get the trailer and haul as the marina really wants me to put the boat into the winter storage shed.

Long story, short version is there's a sail boat 2 boats in front of me. Yard has the 1st sail loaded and parked on it's trailer in less than 5 minutes. The second sail boat takes the 2 yard guys and the owner over 45 minutes to load because this guy doesn't have a clue never mind a wash bucket or soap for at least the last 5 years looking at his POS.

What really surprised me was the fact that most of his trailer was held together with many pieces of 1/4 inch ROPE!!! It wasn't nylon twisted line. It was friggin cotton rope and it was holding about 40% of his trailer from falling apart.

I'm sure his insurance company doesn't have a clue what this black mold covered boat is sitting on. Yes, it had a plate and lights.

Make sure that saleboat is not parked next to you so none of those black mold spores get on baby!

Did you load it on the trailer? [float on] or load it with a fork or travellift?

Freaking mold spore shit box. I love teak but the teak on this craft was gross.

Gordie, Come on man. Don't pick on the whole state because of a New Yorker. Remember... I saw the plate and his Lexus. The used day boots (firefighter thigh boots for the non-knowing) held together with duct tape was a warning to me that he was a cheap prick backed up by the fact he was a blow boater. There's a lot (most) of very nice people up there.

Jack,
Floated onto the trailer and hauled. Worked perfect. Smooth as baby shit. Notch in trailer bunk is dead on.

LJ, I'm sure but our busiest day on the water might be one of your slowest. I can run for many, many miles and not see a single craft.

The boat is inside and the media is still blowing this storm waiting for it to come.

At least my boat is 100% safe.

Soon but at least let the leaves fall off the trees first. Bird hunting starts 10-1 so the boat will be well cleaned and put away by then.

Thanks for the downer.
