Default Favorite Eatin' Fish

What's yours? I like a shore lunch with fresh walleye deep fried over a campfire with beans and taters! Second would be fresh yft sashimi. Sliced super thin, cooled overnight in the fridge, with a wasabi/garlic/soy sauce mix and crackers.

Love the walleye too but can't get it out here. Dad used to call them yellows or yellow pike, when we lived back in Erie.

For what's accessible to me to catch, Flounder. When I lived in CT fishing LI Sound, Blackfish. Rockfish is one of the best if you have to freeze it, keeps a long time.

I can't eat fried, so baked or grilled. Best grilled I've ever had was YFT that I caught. I caught Wahoo and didn't know anything about them, so I gave it away (Dumb Azz!).

Yep, King on the grill, is good. Also King steaks, quick seared (partly cooked) on the grill then in a clay pot covered with raw bell peppers (all colors) raw onions, olives, olive oil, garlic, vinegar and salt (capers too if you like). Cover and let sit for 1 week in the fridge. Enjoy cold.

If it was one fish...grouper. But in reality, anything that ends up on our line that is considered a keeper

Don't really like regular fish and they apparently don't like me. Love pretty much all shellfish. Whatever - my wife forces it on me once a week so I usually kill it with beer. And sometimes French Dressing.

I like wahoo too. But I think Grouper is my number 1. I also really like fried speckled trout for lunch caught that morning.

Hell, anything fresh, never-frozen, with a good beverage never gets left on my plate!
