Talking Electrical Advices - Pool Light

The switch to turn on my pool light is located in the pool panel which is very far behind the house, not very convenient. I'd like to have a switch inside the house without running wires the 100+ feet from the pool panel to the house.

Are there any wireless remote switches? I'm thinking one part replaces the switch in the box the other mounts inside the house

Thanks in advance,
Tom

Leviton makes wireless switches that would do this. They don't need any wiring between them, just 120 volts at each end. I've used them numerous times for just the situation you describe. Any electrical supply house will carry them, Leviton

Thanks hardwire, only problem is the pool panel doesn't have a knockout for a decora style switch, just the old style

Ask before you buy....a 100+ feet is really starting to push it. I'd measure it out exactly before you go in.

Could you add a weatherproof box adjacent to the panel with the switch module in it?

Your pool light should have a junction box near the pool. Possibly the module can be mounted there. And yes there are remote switches, one of my customers just had one installed.
FYI they used an Intermatic switch, they spliced it into the feed at the pool light junction box.
