Default My employees Nephew drafted by Red Sox

My secretary's nephew was drafted in the first round tonight, funny thing about it he grew up a DIEHARD YANKEE FAN

This is great, can't wait to see her in the am and see if they are now Red Sox Fans.

By way it is very ironic that Matt is playing right up the road tonight at Clemson in the regional playoffs and last time I looked U Conn was beating my beloved Tigers. They have been at all the games this weekend to support him

Great family

A neighbor and family friends' son grew up a huge Red Sox fan. The Red Sox gave up on him, he did all right in Houston. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeff_Bagwell

Congrats....realize that he will be put in the farm system and could stay there a long time, unless he is a really hot pitcher or a great outfielder with a big bat and wheels....only one out of a hundred get to the bigs.....

Man I was hoping the Tiggers would pull it off so they would have to come down to Columbia. I was fairly surprised the way they laid down in that series. Lack of pitching definitely caught up with them.

Oh well, maybe next year.

Would loved to have seen that but my honest opinion SC is the team to beat and would have sent the Tigers home in 2

He will be fine, signing bonus will be huge and he comes from upper middle class family that will keep him grounded and make sure the money lasts a long time. Still I agree it is a long shot to make it as any player in MLB, got to be with the right team at the right time.

We are hoping his first stop will be right here in the Upstate of SC with Red Sox A team Greenville Drive but right now he has CWS on his mind

We did have a kid from here that played high school ball against my son that was first round MLB pick and he has really not panned out too well from what I have seen, also in Red Sox organization

Also Jackie Bradley Jr from USC was drafted by Red Sox as well, kind of ironic that these two will be playing against each other Saturday night in Columbia
