Renters with a daycare center - WONDERFUL combo. :roll:nono:

Is the property "zoned" or are there covenants that ALLOW a "business" to operate there? ;?

Talk to the renter AND the OWNER - be SPECIFIC about the violations to your property, and be specific about your intent to shut them down if it doesn't improve - IMMEDIATELY!

Call the police EVERY time they violate your "no trespass" sign - they'll get tired of the calls and have their OWN talk with the renter/daycare owner.

And go ahead and put the fence up - they probably won't correct their own problem in the long run.

And folks wonder WHY "renters" get a bad rap ... :roll

Check with your local Code Enforcement dept. They (if you have one) will probably have a home occupation ordinance that would either require permits ($$$) for a daycare or at least would prohibit the picking up/dropping off of kids (excessive traffic for a residential area) as well as signage and noise ordinance violations.

That's an easy fix around here. One letter and they would be out of business. ;)

Are you in an HOA area? They might have rules too.

Plus, I would put up a fence anyway...

Bruce is right renters cannot possibly have a legal daycare center. But Also, I did a quick read and see some stuff was deleted, but did you talk to the owner , and what did he say?

No the deleted stuff was declared non-PC by the FB gestapo. I havent talked to the adult over there I cant honestly say if there is one. So many cars come and go Im not really sure who the renter is. I might talk to the land lord next time I see him if this keeps up though.

Just do what Bruce W said and be done with it. Talk to the one in charge of the property, put up a fence. Geez! Not that big of a deal.

I work for a similar agency in Milwaukee. These departments are generally complaint driven. Call them up and make your complaint, they will send out a Code Enforcement Inspector to check out the compliant. If there are ordinance violations the Department will contact the building owner and give him the oppurtunity to correct them.
