Ya maybe it is, but I was always taught to listen to the police when they tell you to do something, this advise has served me well in my 54 years. These videos usually only show one side of the story.

If the girl wasn't obeying the officers commands .... I see no problem.

The girl probably doesn't respect anyone !

That was excessive force. The girl posed no threat, she was not armed, and was intoxicated. He did not require that much force to subdue her and make an arrest. Way exaggerated reaction in my opinion.

I see a suspect attempting to elude police, and police taking the appropriate reply to such an action.

Age and sex are moot points.

The article is also grossly incomplete - what's the full story?? What exact events occurred immediately prior to the video.;?;?

The answer to that question will discern whether or not the cop was acting inappropriately.

Maybe, but that doesn't warrant being slammed into a wall and tackled. She could have easily been badly injured there. Not cool. I am sure jail time and court orders will teach her some lessons, but the excessive force will not.

Thats a bad attitude, and not how the law is supposed to work. Thats what courts are for. LEO is not supposed to exercise vigilante justice with physical punishment. He should have made the arrest with only the force required, then let the courts decide her fate.

Its not a bad attitude it the truth, why mess with someone who has the athority to whoop your ass if you disobey. Its common sense.

Maybe that was the required force.

There is simply not enough in the story and video to make a reasonable determination.

If he overreached necessity, then yes, it would be very wrong for a cop to do so.

first, its hard to know exactly what the officer knew or didn't know. The article clearly states the juvenile had assaulted both a teacher and mom. The officer appears to be giving the girl commands. I have been hurt by people that fight. Bottomline, the officer maybe should have just grabbed her BUT that was clearly apush not a brutal attack as portrayed. She was resisting arrest and had by all accounts assaulted two people. To what extent we dont know. Again, we dont know what the officer knew and what if she got hurt or fought someone else?

He did not what to have to run that bitch down. What a classic ending to a typical white trash scene.

The number of people who do not comply when commanded by law enforcement amazes me! If parents are not going to teach their children how to act, unfortunately law enforcement and the courts will. You aren't always going to like the lesson.

Very simple, cop says shut up, you shut up. Cop says stop, you stop. Cop says hands on the wall, you put your hands on the wall. Do these things and you stand a very good chance of going home, or at least to holding, without a scratch. Keep walking, keep running your mouth, keep disregarding commands....EAT PAVEMENT!
