Hell no..... Not an A10.

F-14D air superiority fighter with the GE motors! Ground strike capability, phoenix missile system, supersonic, and made by Grumman. It's got a M61 gatling gun too!

Tomcat's Forever! VF-101 Grim Reapers!

A Vought F4U Corsair, the A 10 is also very cool and throw in Apache Helicopter. The Raptor would have to be in there too..

Not a warplane in the traditional sense, but I'll pick SR-71.

I'll second the P38. My Dad flew them in WWII.

F4U Corsair, then P51, F-4 Phantom, A-10 (mostly because of the gun!) and a B-52

A-10, but I wouldn't pass up the chance to fly any of the planes mentioned. There's an A-4 sitting across the street from Miami International, there is something about it that just looks right.

I'd jump at the chance on any of the aforementioned aircraft.....but I'd REALLY like to fly an F6F Hellcat....shot down more enemy aircraft than any other plane we had....and considering the primitive navigation equipment that they had in the day, those pilots had BIG b...ls to fly off a carrier, fly 2-300 miles to intercept the Japanese flleet, dogfight/bomb them for :45 min. or so...then fly back to the constantly moving mother carriers...for days at a time!
Talk about a high stress environment...especially when they got close to Japan (Phillipines, Iwo, Okinawa) they couldn't even relax when they made it back, as the kamikazes were gunning for the carriers first!
Any time I see an older gentlman, in his 80's-plus, I think..."he could be one of those guys".....makes you think.
