Default Cell Signal Booster

I'm looking for a signal booster for my home to be used with verizon. I do have service inside it just seems like I have to be in certain parts of the house to talk without dropping the call. Does anybody have any experience with this. I have looked online but not really sure what I'm looking at.

I have two friends who have them - one has a Shakespeare and the other a Digital brand & I'm sure there are others. Both say they work as advertised, and the only thing I think I remember one of them saying was that if you get too close to the antenna they don't work as well <- could be wrong on this tho as I have not seen this guy in several years and it's been 8-10 years since we had that discussion.

Also, just a thought - you might get more responses/suggestions, etc., if you post your question in the Electronics Forum.

I bought my current phone specifically to match one of their amplifiers. I had a problem with a specific area in the mountains. I called the number and the rep walked me through what I needed. Unfortunately, I went into the hospital before I could use the amp/antenna and never did buy one.

I have a Digital at the Maine house. Works very good. Problem is you really need 40' minimum of separation between both antennas.

I have a Verizion repeater (299.00, might be less now) here in Mass that uses my wireless Internet that works very well also. It only works on programed phone numbers with Verizion.
