Default Carolina Panthers! LMAO

Last year they took the looser pretty rich boy Clausen!! Great Pick!! LOL....And this year!! Ugh Newton! Takes a lil more to make a team, and Newton is a questionable pic IMO. What a horrible team and franchise this has turned out to be.;?

IMO Cam Newton is all hype. He looks at his intended receiver and if he's not open he takes off. Pretty predictable. I'm sure there are some offensive linesman more than ready to welcome him to the NFL. Seems to me it is all decided by the media these days and how they portray players. Newton and Tim Tebow are perfect examples. Tebow is by far a much better QB, with a superior work ethic than Newton will ever have or be (and I HATE the gators) but the media ran with Tebow's weaknesses and as for Newton.....he can be bought, just ask his dad. He should be a good fit for a crappy team.

I don't hate him but I don't think he will be successful unless he learns and changes a lot quickly. He will get hurt if he plays the way he did in college.

I think he will surprize a lot of people. He will fill the seats and win games. The statue in Auburn may not be his last.

I'm happy to see Julio Jones in Atlanta and Mark Ingram in NOLA. It will be fun to watch games from the SE...as well as these picks aren't going to do anything but Help recruiting in those areas!

What good is Cam Newton to the team unless they find quality recievers and running backs? I agree that Newton is all hype. Maybe the Auburn fans will help fill the stadium. ;?

You cant build a team around a QB!! I dont understand these franchises! You could take a great QB and put him on that team and they will suck. You could take Clausen and put him on a Great team and he would prolly shine

Without a strong offensive line Newton will most likely be sacked 2 out of every 4 snaps, resulting in an injury putting him on the bench early in the season. Predict the Panthers will once again will have the worst record in NFL. I question if Charlotte or the Carolinas were ever prepared to support an NFL team. Many of the fans think they are attending a formal party. For those Panther fans reading loosen up, enjoy the sport, forget the ties, white shirts and sport coats. Have a few beers, raise some hell at the games. You may enjoy the game and just maybe the team will survie yet another disaster.

In years past the team has been very well supported. When you play like we did last year it's not a wonder people stop watching and start socializing. There isn't anything to get rowdy about during a 1 win season. The dress is according to the demographics. White collar people aren't going to dress down to go anywhere.

Cam Newton was an interesting pick. There are a lot of mixed reviews around town. If our O line can't get together and block for Clausen then we need a scrambler. I am interested to see what packages we could put together with Newton, Stewart and DeAngelo in the backfield.

Cam has some amazing, Vick like physical skills, speed, agility toughness, etc. If he refines his style, he could be huge. Agreed, it is a gamble for the panthers.

I don't follow pro football, but I used to. Before the draft, I thought maybe Carolina might/should trade their pick for a couple of lower #1's and/or combination of lower picks. Carolina needs so much that some lineman and a running back would help more than an established All Pro Q.

Because my GF is from Alabama and a diehard Auburn fan, I saw Newton play every game this past year. In their first game, he didn't do all that well. My comment to her was "Auburn needs to let that racehorse loose, he's special". Given a chance, I think he can become one of the best, but not without support and seasoning. Unfortunately, he's not going to get much support in Carolina. I have no idea if he can be taught to stay in the pocket and read a defense. BTW, he's a much better athlete than Tebow.
