Default Cool find!!

Cool find at the father in laws house. He's cleaning up the garage and getting rid of stuff that hasn't been touched in a while. (been in the house since the 60s) He has so much stuff, mostly boating related.

Found boxes of old boating magazines. Hundreds of them, from the late 70's to the late 80's. I took them home. Its cool looking through them and seeing ads for outboards like the OMC sea drive, the V8 300 from Johnson.

Pictures of Reggie Fountain, Bayliners catching air while jumping a boat wake.

Of course I'm looking for the issue that has a write up on the Scarab Sport.

Love looking at those old magazines! I found a few boxes of them in my FIL's attic too a couple of years ago.

I find it interesting looking at the Florida Sportsman website or sometimes when they reprint covers of their magazines back from the early 80's, when I was a teenager... Old magazines are cool..

Are any of them Saltwater Sportsman? There's an article that I've been looking for from St. Patrick's day. It's a story about a Shamrock Wrasse. Wonderful story that I'd love to find again. I think it must be a Feb. or Mar. issue from the mid to late 70s.
Ihave already called the magazine but they don't have the old issues.

No Saltwater Sportsman. Lots of Boating, Motorboating, Yachting, a few Florida Sportsman and a couple of Southern Boating from the 70s.

I also like the ads for the cell phones in the 80s.

Those old outboards have long given up the ghost, but the Chevy 350 still goes on strong.
