Default Any BMW Motorcycle fans?

2001 BMW R1200C (James Bond Clone)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-R...#ht_504wt_1167

I've never ridden a R1200. I have ridden a friend's 1997(?) R850R which I loved.

Thoughts?

I love everything about it...

What about price? At what price is it a steal? a deal? full market?

Yeah I really like it.

I can't stand touring bikes with all the fairings!

I like the blue / white, but my sport bike days are over. I didn't love the riding position when I had them in the 90's,... I'm sure I would hate it now!

As for the orange / black... BMW needs a boxer engine.

On the plus side, I wouldn't have to be seen on it, since it would seldom run.

U know I was so anti Harley until I got into my mid 30's..... Now on my 4th Harley and I really like em.... Never had a problem with any of them.... Slow, heavy, expensive,,, but nice to cruise around...

I still like the sport bikes.... But my back does not.....

Thinking about touring the Alp's on a Ducati next year.... They have some great tours.....

I just have never clicked with Harley's. Some are nice to look at, but no desire to own one.

Was that taken at "the Hawks Nest"?

(New York State Route 97 includes the Hawk's Nest, a tightly winding section of the road along the Delaware River, located a few miles north of Port Jervis)

Ahhh... I should have gotten that. Would love to do the dragon on a bike. Had my ferrari up there in 2006. Was a great drive. Ever take your 930 there?

The dragon is nice.... the area around the dragon is even better.... What Year Ferrari do you have ? Sure that was great up there...

Never took the 930 - but I am sure it would be nice.... Problem with the Porsche is that the turbo needs to be spooled up or its a pig.... She is a garage queen now... Probably sell her for some F300's - need 4 strokes on the Intrepid

Our CA Highway Patrol ("CHIP's") uses the BMW Touring bikes for their motor units.

They sure beat Ponch's K1000!
