Very nice fish, congrats on a great finish in the tourney but can you explain what makes your team green? I expected to see someone trolling with a sail boat or fishing with recycled materials.

Nope, it's the Al Gore sponsorship.

The "green" formula is: green shirts + Gore sponsorship + 4 stroke engines = boat must be "eco-friendly".

Good video though.

Default Keeping America Fishing

Eco Fishing Team Places 1st In King of Inlet Tournament
The Eco Fishing Team claimed the First Place Dolphin position at the “King of Inlet Tournament” held out of Ponce Inlet last Saturday April the 16th 2011. Eco Fishing Team continues to promote sensible conservation and recently featured The SFA-East Coast Fishing Section at the Eco Booth during the tournament. The SFA has been taking the lead and been successful working with Congress and local authorities insuring a healthy fishery and keeping us all fishing. The SFA over the last decade has been providing accurate scientific data to Congress which proves that the American Red Snapper is at a healthy stock level and will continue to flourish for years to come.

So far I dont see very much Eco friendly about your team. Perhaps you need to rename it the Ocean awareness team might be a better selection.

I liked it. Using the kite instead of trolling and I seen the live lining.
on the win and seen you only had twin motors.
Already started far more bottom fishing and less fuel burn here but boats fast & easy on fuel anyway. Get your seat belts out. The boy on here can take you for a ride...

I apologize if we didn’t covey enough Eco aspect in the thread. However, the main focus of the organization is based on awareness and promoting sensible conservation through educating ourselves and others on crucial issues. There has to be a starting point.

Eco Fishing Team fully believes we need sustainability. We all want future generations to have the same opportunities we have, if not better. At the same time we all need to think things through before implementing new regulations. For instance, shutting down US commercial fishermen from selling Marlin, but still allowing the importation from international companies. Furthermore, why are we still allowing any selling of Marlin when it is only caught as a bycatch? Another unreasonable regulation would be the shutting down of 100 percent Red Snapper fishing from North Carolina to Key West without the correct scientific data. The more we educated ourselves on these issues the better results we will get.

Eco Fishing Team wants to help bridge the gap between conservation groups and anglers. We start our official campaign fall of this year. However we have already started by setting up booths at tournaments, bringing these issues to the people that are being affected, the anglers. We have also taken an active role in tagging and helping other anglers get involved with tagging, with hopes of stressing the importance of this type of approach for correct scientific data.

Eco Fishing Team is doing their part for sustainability. Not just by doing right for the environment, but by taking an aggressive active role in helping educate ourselves and the people that matter. The future is now. Together we can give generations to come the experience we all hold true to our hearts.

wannabefishin thinks you are on the right page with the above post. wannabefishin also thinks you need to re think your name lest you be mistaken for green nazis. wannabefishin also thinks that maybe starting every sentice with your team name is not the greatest. lol

Kjs believes Eco fishing team needs to hire an Eco friendly PR person to handle their Eco message.
