Wait til BOA's dirty laundry hits the front page. 2012 might not come fast enough for those boys.

They're changing their name to Xfinity or something to try to fool everyone. We had ATT and they were worse.

there is no "good" anymore..just different levels of lousy.

phone cable and internet down for hours last night second time in a week. In 18 months of having comcast I have had around 14 service calls for poor signal, bad boxes, etc. Pretty much a call a month something goes wrong.
We had knology before comcast and thought it was bad that was why we changed.

Oh well.

You really think they fired him? He and he alone pulled in their highest ratings. Even if they hated him they would never fire the guy based on what he pulled in

The Company refused to renew his contract, according to the news article that I read. Maybe even MSNBC got tired of his shit. Maybe he can go on with Colmes(sp) on Fox late night and show up once in a while as a sympathy interview on Orielly or Hannity, shows with real substance rather than a bunch of hateful vitriol. Good riddance, I'll be even ESPN wouldn't take him back.

I did not know they made it to number one! Last I heard A1 and Time Warner were still in the race.

You think I am crazy but there is not a better time to start a top notch service oriented cable company. The current companies only care about expansion numbers at all costs. They work on the 70 30 rule, who cares if 30 percent of the customer are unhappy, because eventually they will be one of the only games in town.
Like ATT. Anyway, if I had the resources I would start one and kick their ASS!

This is why I will never use cable for phone service.
I have a a sep connection for internet and land-line. costs a bit more but the redundancy is well worth it.

You would lose your ASS!

Too much infrastructure required for rapidly converging technologies.

They fired him.

He was in the middle of a four year contract.

if you think comcast is bad try verizon, I have both and neither gives any service when you need it. I remember the good old days with Mother Bell and their fleet of repair crews giving good old fashion service. That was before the government decided that so-called American Free Enterprise was a better choice for consumers.

Yeah but their highest ratings were 23 people and 17 of those were in prison.

My current house has had both AT&T and Comcast. Both have been fine.

When I moved in I ripped out all the coax and ran quad shield as a home run feed to each location. Same also w/ CAT5 cable to each location.

The coax is terminated w/ T&B Snap-N-Seal connectors. Those are the best I found. There are other good equivalent parts.

The in-house wiring has been junk for every home I've purchased, which is why I redo it properly to the best standard.

My last home had Cox and I was calling them twice a year to fix my service. My home was the last drop, the farthest from the pole amplifier. They had to tweak it for summer and winter because that changed the cable distribution characteristics.
