Default Reelwork; How did the Hunt Go?

Did you get yourself a axis deer? I haven't cooked the sausage yet, still trying to get over the trip.

Glad to finally, as you would say it, "Put a hand shake with the name". It is not often that a person can say they made friends with a nice guy.

Had a very long drive home yesterday. Left SA at 1000 and took Hwy. 78 to Seguin. Nice country, rolling hills, small towns, mom and pop stores. Like a trip into the past. Made it to Katie, Tx. somewhere around 1230. Naturally I had to stop at the Bass Pro. Bought a few things and back on the road for 1320. Unfortunately that is when things started going bad. A traffic tie up on the I-10E, because of a bad accident on the I-10W. Ended up taking me nearly 2 hours to get from Katie to the Baytown exits on I-10. Another wreck just west of Jennings La, held me up another1 hour or so. Got home just after 1900.

Hey David,

Nope, it was a washout. This record breaking heat we are having has everything all but shut down. I was very optimistic on my drive there seeing numerous deer, axis and such but they were also all younguns, not adults. So, I got there, basically sat on my ass in a 200 degree blind and didn't see a darn thing! Now, would I do it again, YOU BET! It was nice just being out there in the middle of the sticks and not a soul around..

Anyways...

It was truly a pleasure meeting you and likewise. Also wanted to say "thanks again" for breakfast. Next one is on me - no arguments! I hope you like the sausage too. I think we could have sat around there and BS'd for another couple of hours.. LOL

So you took FM78 huh? Yeah, it really is a pretty cool drive to just kick back and relax on as the white stripes go by. When you passed that "Sonic" just East of Randolph AFB, you were just a few blocks from my house. So you hit traffic in Houston, well that's something new! I actually figured that you might start catching the lunchtime traffic based on when you were leaving. I grew up on Houston and I don't miss that traffic one bit - it's ten times worse now too!

Well, glad you got home safe and sound after such a long drive. We'll talk to ya later and good to meet ya! I may not be too in touch over the next month or so, but I will definitely give you a shout when we get to VA.

Take Care,
Chris

Oh yeah, good news! Realtor called me when I was on the way home from the lease and we got a legitimate offer on the house! Met up with him last night and we reviewed the terms and it was too good to pass up, so it looks like we sold the house (barring any major issues from the inspection). WAHOO!!!!
