Our lovely water outage mess

:bashhh::bashhh::bashhh:

Construction crews hit a 4ft water main the afternoon before christmas eve, tens of thousands without water, and a boil water advisory in effect. Tax dollars at work folks :roll

Upside is we should have some pressure by the morning, not that I really care either way I just think it's stupid that crews aren't more cautious working around water mains.

From what I read, no tax dollars were involved. Some people seem to just like to bash "government," whether their accusations are true or not. Have it your way.

I think it's pretty phenomenal what the construction folks are able to do with minimal inconvenience to the masses.... I try not to complain when the electricity is only off for a few hours after a tree crosses the power lines in a storm or while construction crews are working on Christmas Eve...

You might ought to read the link you posted.

A crew was trying to expose and repair an existing leak-- when that leak blew out. It was not a case of a guy on a backhoe digging a hole and busting a pipe.

Lots a difference between the news article and your interpretation.
