What do you carry and why with a concealed weapons permit?

walther PPK because it was given to me by my grandpa and I'm happy with it. Hopefully I'll never have to use it. I also don't carry all the time. It mostly stays in the center console. I think if I carried all the time I might look into a keltec .380 for something smaller and lighter

I carry a Glock 30 SF inside the waist band durring the winter because I like the idea of a .45 if I can hide it. I carry and Colt .380 Mustang durring the summer because of it's size.

If I am wearing a jacket a Glock 19 with a IWB kydex holster. If I don't have a jacket then a Glock 26 in an ankle holster (Galco).

Either a G-26, or if I'm wearing heavy clothes, occasionally the .45 (Colt Series 80 MkIV upperworks built onto a P-14 frame).

Recently picked up the new Ruger LCR in .38 Special flavor that I'm liking. Smaller and lighter than the G-26, hence easier to carry. On the downside, it's a 5 round .38, but even the .357 flavored snubnosed wheelguns are 'get off me' guns, so to me, it's an acceptable compromise.

I still don't. Because, in most cases I can get what you've got before you could get an accurate round out of it.
I,m not trying to sound like Billy Bob here. The average Joe or criminal will miss and panic with no idea of what to do.

That is true and the reason why you only take action if no other means is available.

Check out "fastest gun in the world" on YouTube. I would have given a link but the phone is a pain.

1st rule of a gunfight: Have a gun.

Smith 642 in 38 (+P) or a Colt Mustang stainless in 380.
CWPs for 40 years.
Why do I carry? A cop is too heavy to carry around.
I am not paranoid, I just want to protect myself, and those who are close to me.

I'm guessing that is just... oh so true on a daily basis..... for you.

Personally in over 50 years of not carrying a gun I haven't been wrong 1 single time.

What - Kahr 9mm mostly but also Colt 45 or Colt 380 Mustang.
Why - Because I live in Miami but bad stuff can happen anywhere and I want options if need be.

That's funny. I actually have a pistol crossbow, but never thought about carrying it. LCP and a Taurus 38 sp for that.
