Default Connley Rods made from Banana parts

Yesterday I had my first chance to use my new Connley rods that I ordered. Let me say, the look great, service was great and fit and finish was perfect.
In fact the buddies I fish with noticed them immediately and had nice comments to say.

That being said, we trolled the Egmont channel for four hours yesterday. Back and forth, NOT ONE HIT. The only thing I can come up with that Bryan uses bananas in the manufacturing process....

So on my next two rods, please leave out the bananas....

Noooo! I haven't had a chance to use mine yet and now this. I'll do my best to prove you wrong sometime next week, this week looks like a blow out for my fairweather ass.

To get rid of the bannana smell on your Connelly rods, soak them in a 5% solution of rice vinigar and distilled water for exactly 13 hours and 13 minutes under a full moon
