You need to find a freight forwarder who specializes shipping to NZ or it is possible to ship it UPS/DHL/FEDEX

That is not going to be cheap. Is this a short stay or long term? Might find that it is cheaper to buy what she needs there and sell of what she has at home. How quickly does she need it? A freight forwarder for that small of a shipment is going to bundle it in a air container and send it via a commercial airline. Looking at over $1,000. I would send it UPS. Still going to cost you $500 or more. The new TSA fees are significant.

I used a freight forwarder when we shut down our office in London to ship boxes back here. In addition to what Salty Dog said, it can take some time to get it shipped, and clear customs. Although I am sure the more you pay the quicker they can ship it.

Based on 600 lbs no volume.. your looking at this for air freight to get it to Auckland Airport

Air Freight $1692.00 Maybe a bit less, (If volume weight more...)
Local Pick Up $285.00
Transfer Fee's to Airport 47.50
Handling $50- $75.00
Repacking?????
Screeening costs ???

In New Zealand
Customs Clearance $100.00 to 200.00
Duty/ Taxes..maybe not sure on personal effects.
Delivery
Other local charges....
I would say total $400.00 + down there ....

Ocean Freight will be alot cheaper here in the US, basically the same cost down there...

Email me and I'll walk you through it...and put you in touch with my guy in New Zealand.

Striper-

right now all her personal stuff is packed in plastic totes-theres approx 15 of them and weighing then on a bathroom scale - theres approx 500 pounds-

do these totes need to be sealed-or left open for inspection --???

should i pack on a couple pallets and shrink wrap-or leave loose--for inspection??--

will a truck come to house and pick up - ??

Striper- I'm leaving this on the forum until i feel comfortable . hope you understand -
there may also be others that can use the information.-

my daughter has residency in New Zealand - and lives there year round -

thanks for your time -- Rich-

Packed on Skids, sealed and shrink wrapped...no signs like MAC & IPOD in this container, just an address label on each continaer should they get separated.

if going on air, it would be a freighter (not a pasanger aircraft)7 to 10 days ish with customs.

Via ocean is 40+ days, depending on sail dates...door to door, more like 50 ish days with customs....

Get me the dims (packed on skids)..and I'll work up something for you, based on time schedule..
note it won't be until after Christmas if Ocean Freight....

I can have a lift gate truck with pallet jack come (cost a bit extra) Just make sure there wrapped tight and if you can band that would help....
Or you can drop in Greensboro for Air Freight, Build the pallets there to save a couple $$, looks like your closest to there.

Get your hands on some plastic pallets if you can.....
There are some wood restrictions down under and plastic would simplify the process.

Get me the final dimensions of the product so I can figure out the volume weight if any of the shipmetn, then I'll give you a final quote to Auckland Airport, I'll let your daughter deal with My Agent in New Zealand directly..if you want to semd me the address there via email. I'll give you a close guesstimate on those charges.....

Lets work via email ( the one I sent you) for payment info and other....
