Her songs are fun and she looks so happy singing them. You should be really proud of her. I would buy a cd with her songs in a heart beat. She has a wonderful voice and her music is really good.

Did I die?

Honestly, I’d like to shed some perspective on this graciousness without sounding ungrateful.

I don’t think anyone enjoys opening a message board to find their own name in the subject line, but when I saw that Laird wrote it I knew I was safe!

First things first, the honor of being a hero, in my eyes, lies within those that carry people out of burning buildings or across mine fields, of which I do neither. My niece lost her Mom and Dad and I did what everyone here would have done in my situation.

If anyone knew my niece, they would gladly accept the role I’ve taken with her. She is the most satisfying thing in my 48 years of life and she is anything but a burden nor a job.

I’ve met some fantastic people here on this site, I’ve had some off board private relationships with some of you and you have helped me immensely with some problems I’ve had. They know who they are. Thank You Larry, Laird, Bob and the rest.

So from now on, when I say stupid shit on this site and get called out, I’m going to quote some of you guys kind words and direct them to this thread!

Since Laird put his little girl on display here, I must say, she is the best! If you haven’t listened to her music or visited her blog, please do so. You will enjoy her music, but since this is the internet after all, be careful what you say, I don’t want to have to buy a plane ticket to straighten anyone out!

Now please carry on with the talk of outboards, two strokes, diesels, Fords and Chevy’s as this is getting a little uncomfortable.

Mike, I hear what your saying. It doesn't matter to us if we get a black crack baby with aids, diabetes, deaf, and blind. All children need unconditional love. Period. We do not hold the parents responsible because that is what most people do and is unfair to the child.

Laird, if your daughter is interested in singing for a small private crowd and would like to make some money let me know. We have the North Carolina Aerial Sprayer's convention in Williamsburg and have a dinner, auction, and singing. It is a bunch of cropduster's and their families. It is mostly a Christian crowd and she would fit the bill well. I know you might think of cropduster's as redneck pilot types, but it is really a good crowd. We also hold a pig pickin (fundraiser) for the NC agricultural commisioner every year. if she would be interested in making some extra money give me a PM and I will run it through the board and see what happens.

I dont consider being a redneck a bad thing at all (I am a little necky at times) BUT brother you should have left out the pig pickin comment, I am gettin a bad visual...
