Default Well I "think" this is my last time?

Yesterday I cut my lawn for what I "think" will be my last time this year? Today all I have to do is a bit of edging and I am set for winter. Bring it on baby, this year I am ready for yah!

I quite mowing about three weeks ago, I have never been so ready for the yard to get covered up in leaves so that I can stop messing with it.

I enjoy the hell out of yard work and like having a nice yard, but man am I ready for winter.

Just a little south of the red dot.

I'm about 20-25 minutes from Lake Erie, 40 minutes from Lake Ontario, just less than 1 1/2 hours to Lake Huron and about 2 1/4 hours to Georgain Bay.

Around here the trees are pretty much all bare now, but I was in the city yesterday (Hamilton) and the trees there were still covered and still showing pretty good colour. Boy and that's not far from us either, that's like a 35 minute drive.

Pssshaw... y'all are a bunch of wimps!

I just spent nearly $400 overseeding with perennial winter rye and manure topper. It will get it's 2nd cutting this weekend and yes, I'll be cutting it all winter long. But, my backyard looks as good as a golf course! So vibrant and green!!

I remember my dad (RIP, Dad) calling me a couple of year ago on Superbowl Sunday - "What ya doing?" Oh, I'm cutting the grass. He'd laugh - "I'm butthole deep in snow and YOU are cutting the grass!!! Unbelievable!!" He lived in upstate New York.

I cut my grass the last time probably around the beginning of July.
When the hot weather rolls in just stop watering, drop your mower to the lowest setting and mow away.
Within a week the grass is fried and I don't have to mow it the rest of the summer.

I am "that guy" in my neighborhood. Don't care what my lawn looks like.

I am done for the year this weekend - just to blow a few remaining leaves into the woods with the mower -

I'm thinking of doing what MIGHT be the last mowing next week, only I'm afraid if I do, it might start snowing. It snowed in the NC mountains last night.

No leaves to speak of here, mostly pine needles. I do have some pecans, magnolia, locust, crepe myrtle and a few others that I just mow the leaves and there gone in the spring.

Geezs, I saw the title of this thread and thought you were talking about MARRIAGE!
For me, I am one and done!!!! And my one is pretty rocky right now!

As far as the grass, I'll cut it until spring just to get away from the wife!!!!!

Cut the grass/mulch leaves one more time this year.

Clean up after two large dogs = everyday.....
Yard work never stops.

Last mowing last Thursday. Put mower away on Saturday. If any leaves fall in the yard (and they will, but only the back yard), I will blow them back into the woods.
