Default It's almost over...

I'm tired of hearing the phone ring. Tomorrow cannot come soon enough.

sitting with Dad today (he's fighting cancer), he gets a call, I hear his side of the conversation:

"you sons a bitches, you call me every god damn day, I tired of it, is this a god damn recording or are you live? Carl Baby, you need some new material, your stuff is getting old, I told you yesterday I was voting for you, what the hell you bothering me today for. Holy Shit!"

Almost verbatum. Never found out if it was recording or live.

we laughed our asses off, which I'm sure was his intent. It was a rough day at the hospital.

Yup. I've had cell phone tower failures that lasted weeks here and in fact, my cable internet just yesterday came back up due to a failure of the modem but luckily I have a free dial back up service. In 33 years of living in this city, I've only had one analog failure with Verizon and that was a central office problem because of old flat spring relays which are now long gone.

I bet you still get some literature in your mailbox for a few days afterwards...just to remind you.

Robo calls jammed up the Comcast phone network for over an hour in the Northeast yesterday in many places. We were one.

1). why don't you shut the ringer off? ;?
2). why don't you leave the phone off the hook? ;?
3). why don't you call someone and talk to them all day long? ;?
4). if you don't have a cell and this is a land line problem, why don't you go outside? ;?
5). if this is a cell phone problem, why don't you just put the damn thing down and walk away from it? ;?

Or where you waiting for Publishers Clearing House to give you a call and tell you are the next million dollar winner? ~

Another reason to get Vonage. Not one political call.

caller ID, or in my case no land line in 6 years and only about 4 telemarketer calls. When asked for my home phone I always give the office fax #. If someone REALLY needs me, the can send a fax (if they're smart enough to figure that one out)

I'm not home very much anymore since my retirement and my answering machine only answers 19 minutes worth of calls so I clear the messages every evening.

I gave up on Publisher's Clearing House. They probably couldn't find my condo anyway.
