The Shelby Supercars Ultimate Aero II (that had the record briefly and developing another to take it back ) is only a mere $650k. Very cool stuff! Thanks for posting that video!

Same here... From the commercials I've seen it already seems to lack some of the magic that makes the BBC version so funny. Time will tell though!

The crazy part is that at that speed, he's only got a little over a minute to get top speed in the 5 mile straight away.

Also, the top speed is limited since they believe that the tires won't hold up past that point (see Edmunds.com article)

Old video but still awesome. I will still watch it but no way the American version will touch the UK version. Even the replayed episodes on BBC America are not as good as they are when the premier in Europe. I download episodes the day they premier and later rewatch them on American TV. They go crazy with editing over here.

At top speed it will suck thru a tank of gas in 12 minutes. It's turbo's go theu the same volume of air in one minute that a full grown man will go thru in FOUR days. incredible

I'll take the Hennessey Ford GT1000 nowhere near the price of the Bugatti and just as fast

also read somewhere the tires had an estimated tire wear of about 13 minutes. those tires aren't cheap either
