Now you did it.

Uninsured motorist are on my bad side.

No driver's license, no insurance and no English driver hit my car (my son was driving) and totaled it. The other other driver didn't even get a ticket or his mucked up car impounded! Thanks you La Habra PD!

My local -----

Fire and rescue are volunteers, service is pretty good.

Ambulance---- private company, if they respond and transport you to a hospital it cost. You can buy a "membership". With membership you will either get a discount or they will accept what your insurance pays, without membership--- they will ask you for a check, cash or credit card when they get you the the E-Room.

My friend that is a General Contractor, his wife was in an accident a few years ago. She was stopped at a traffic light during the middle of the day when another vehicle rear ended her. It was right on main st (Arendall, Morehead City NC), damage was extensive and the police and paramedics were called. Turned out, the other driver was under aged (no licence) and no insurance. The police didn't charge the other driver, no reason given other than "why ruin a kids life over one mistake and you have insurance".

My friends wife filed a claim through uninsured motorist and also had medical bills from injuries undetected at the scene. The next year she finds her personal vehicle insurance has more than doubled and so has his incorporated business vehicle insurance. He tried everything he could think of, including hiring a lawyer. He ended up with attorney fees, personal and business vehicle insurance more than doubled for the next 3 years.

Talk about a system that's broke! They should make a movie called "Broke Back Insurance", because that's what they do to you.

Referring to my previous post about LaHabra PD, my ex wife was rear ended twice, once in Arcadia and El Monte I believe. The damage was very minimal to our car, in fact I remember not even getting the rubber bumper fixed but still collected on the other driver's insurance. Both PDs provided police reports one of which I think we paid $6.00 for.

LaHabra PD didn't even make a police report for two cars that were totaled! They even recommended a towing service that tried to scam me even though they had a AAA club recommendation!
