Default I-pod ear buds for working out.

I am having problems keeping the stock I-pod ear buds in while I work out. Anybody use anything that would be good for working out that will stay in?

I run, do cardio and lift weights

There are several that hand on the ear that work well, I have these http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-PMX.../dp/B000FJD5IA

plenty of options. Also, you can modify the ones you have with custom fit with two part plastic.

i did this for the Admiral, pretty cool.

skullcandy makes a good bang for the buck earbud and should stay in better than apple's standard ones

If your player has bluetooth I recommend getting motorola s9 blue tooth headphones. Love the ones I have.. You can wander about 50 feet away from your iphone or whatever is transmitting and it's still coming in good.. You can also pause skip songs change volume answer calls and all that jazz with them.

Maybe it's my previous life training, but I couldn't do anything where I can't hear what's going on around me. Do they make ear phones (buds) where you can hear the music and still hear conversations, etc.?

Sony makes a great pair that fit in your ear like ear buds, except that they hafe a loop that goes around your ear to hold them in. I picked them up at Radio Shack for less than 20 bucks, and they work great. They are little tricky to put on when you first get them, but once you figure it out, it's not so bad. I even wear them while sleeping when I go camping with someone who snores.

These are incredible. Shure is the manufacturer. Best Buy has them. They are 100 bucks but the sound is great and they are sound isolating.

The Klipsch headphones are very nice, way better than the shure.

I got tired of the earbud wires getting caught on everything so I went with wireless earbuds. Sony makes some nice ones and they come with a bluetooth adapter if you don't have one on your phone. It's pretty easy to link up to your phone. here's a tutorial

I made my earbuds wireless a few times too. Get em hooked in the gym's mesh seat and stand up quickly. Voila, wireless earbuds.

Seriously though I use cheap skull candy with the rubbery ear plugs. Stay in during the most intense workouts and when I break em another $10 bucks get new ones

I use these for both my bike rides and gym workouts. At 20+ mph, they block out the wind pretty well and stay put. This is my 2nd pair, my 1st pair lasted a little over a year, being used 1-2 times a day, 4-5 days a week.

If you can deal with the wires, I agree with the skull candy.

I really like these headband-style headphones from Philips for the gym. They stay on, sound good, and are cheap so I don't have to worry too much about them getting banged-up or even lost.

I've been wearing Etymotic Er6i's under my helmet for years. They fit like ear plugs and block out external noise.

Looks like they're discontinued but they're still available. Best I've ever owned.

These from monster are incredible. You can pick them up for under 150$ but worth every penny
