Default Am I crazy or does anyone else do this....

While backing my boat in the driveway this evening, I caught a glimpse of a 2x6 I had put in with the trash, and an idea popped in my head. I jumped out the truck and positioned the 2x6 so that my right side trailer tire would roll up on it. My plan was to tip the boat just a little to one side, so that while i'm cleaning it, the water runs to one side of the boat and out in one spot. Therefore eliminating standing water between the two drains on either side of the back of the boat and having all the sand and mud in one corner instead of across the back. Just curious if I'm crazy or possibly going a little too far.

Stone cold sober. Don't drink when I have my wife and kids on board, because she's new to boating and until I get her trained, I have to do it all at the ramp. And without anyone else with any sea-sense or boating knowledge on board, I find it best to be 100% mentally alert. that's why I opted for crazy.

My batteries and kicker give me a slight lean in the water, so I'm good to go!

No insults intended.

Sounds good to me.
Mine stays in the water, I stand on one side to get the same job done after washing.

Good idea - a dirty boat drives me nuts. Nothing wrong with being overly anal, we spend enough money on our toys, a little pride goes a long way.

I was going to clarify that in the original post, but yes, I do. It must have been a Tuesday or Wednesday. You know that on Mondays they are recovering from the weekend (Hung-over) and Thursday and Friday's they are getting primed for the weekend. I know the good folks who poured my driveway and the slab my house sits on and the real reason is that they are competent Americans.

MIne sits in the water but tends to sit low to one side so when washing all the water runs out one scupper. Some times I will fill the livewell while washing to level it out to let the water run out both scuppers and drain after. Livewell is on opposite side to the lean.
