Default Suicide Watch

Boat has been in the yard for two weeks, bottom paint, propspeed waxing etc etc. Then we discover a hard to find exhaust leak, move the boat to the Viking yard where it takes a week to get it fixed. No problem, much lighter in the wallet but who cares taking the wife and family to the Bahamas for two and a half weeks. Everyone dreaming of that clear Exumas water, Mom and kids all fired up. Boat splashes at about 9:30 Captain calls me, so happy to finaly be off the hard and floating again. I go to attend my 6th graders graduation at 10:30 she receives the citizenship award, every one is so happy and ready to get home and start getting ready for our flight. My sister calls: have you heard? Heard what? Better call Capt Mike. I do he tells me he is running the boat south of Lauderdale at 1835 rpm feels a vibration Puts them in Neutral goes bellow. Oil everywhere the port engine has two holes the size footballs on both sides of the block. TKO, time for a new engine and best case scenario is 6 weeks to replace not to mention the expense. Entire Summer of boating with the kids shot to hell. I am going now to stick my head in the oven.

At least is happened BEFORE you left on your trip.

I had suregry last week and cant be in the boat for another 5 weeks. We have perfect weather and a bunch of boating events going on. I even have a new prop to try on the tunnel hull. The Fountain is going to get an intense detail job when I am able.
