ITunes... I know somewhat of a cult following but contrary to popular belief, you don't have to be a computer genius to make it work...

I have a subscription to Napster. My teenager finds everything she wants on there and it is very easy to use.

Ok, I Hooked up my old Ipod to my new laptop and Itunes wont accept the music on my Ipod, it wants to erase it and start again. I guess thats Apple's way of keep people from hooking up and new Ipod to someone else's library and getting free music!! So if I download music into a standard windows folder can i put it into my ipod without going through itunes?

Yeah, your iPod can only be synced with one library (computer) at a time. As an Apple user, I just take the "iTunes library folder" and use it on different computers (copy/paste) the folder and the iPod/iPad thinks its the same computer.
