Default Finally we get a REAL SuperBowl

Saw where we are finally going to get a SuperBowl played outside and in the cold weather in 2014.

Just my opinion by domes are for pansies all SuperBowls should at least be played OUTSIDE.

Really be nice to see one at Lambeau Field in Green Bay

Terrible idea. I predict it will happen once and never again.

Lets see.

Option A. Book flight to NY in Feb. Pay $1000/ticket to sit in the cold, possibly snow, possibly cold rain (this will be hilarious). Enjoy the inside of an overpriced hotel room until you can get back out of town.

Option B. Book flight to Miami in Feb. Pay $1000/ticket to sit in a balmy breeze. Enjoy the beach/water/nice weather for a few days.

I'll take B.

But on the other hand, those of us who don't want to spend $3-4K to go to the Superbowl will have a great time sitting in our living rooms, laughing at the poor bastards that spent all that money to freeze their keisters off!

This idea sounds good already! I like it. I like it a lot...

I couldn't agree with you more tprice. Though for the record, I'm not calling any of those guys on the rosters a panzie.

If your into it as much as you should be, you'll look forward to the adverse conditions. If it's too much for you, stay at home and wear your bubushka.

Then again, as a life long Pittsburgher, I admit that I am extremely biased.

I have always disagreed with the whole dome stadium thing. IMO, football's meant to play outdoors in the elements. They go hand in hand. We don't play midget, Jr. High, High School, or even college football in domed stadiums. Why switch when it comes to the NFL? It takes away from the tradition of the game. I just don't like it. Even when I get tickets to go see a game, I'll only go in November or December. I hate hot weather games.

And while were at it, get rid of the artificial surfaces.

Has it ever happened that the home team plays in the Superbowl?

As a season ticket holder for the Giants, I really hope my number comes up in the lottery for tickets. I think, but I'm not sure, that both the Giants and Jets will get about 10,000 tickets. If the Giants are in, well, obviously I'm going.

If they're not in, the money could be going towards a new boat!

Change is good. Take this past year's teams and throw them into this mix. Who do you think would have won?

I love it!!!!!!!!
Mainly because there is no way in h-ll I would go and freeze my tail off to watch a football game.

But it will be great watching it on TV. There is nothing better than SITTING at HOME and watching a game on TV, when it is pouring down rain or snowing.

Maybe I'm missing something, but why is me saying "If the Giants are in" funny? I wasn't saying that they were in, but merely IF that situation happened.

Game is 4 years away, so who knows what will happen then?

I have to agree that a warm weather SB makes more sense. Not all of them are domes and if I'm correct when the Colts won the SB it rained the whole game. I love watching a bunch of rich snobby as people who don't even care who is playing have to sit out in the rain. It will be that much better if its a cold rain.
