Naahaaa , a Cadet isn't red enough for Bob. Or was your's the black model Bob??? ;? Boy prior to a couple of months ago I would have remembered this stuff.

i have a 1978 murrey i rebuilt the transaxle twice ( 2 different reasons ) in the last 4 years i have owned it and 2 belts

No but the story gets worse - I see the belt off the pulley guide so I fix it when I put it back on and the go to mow. Then mjor burning smell after like 30 seconds of blade time. I look down and the belt is SMOKING this time .

Well I did fix the belt over THAT pulley guide, but apparantly I missed the more critical Idler wheel pully guide when I put it back on....

Still works but the belt is now a bit loose...and looks like its been thru the war.... a new one is ordered....

32 bucks!
